Filmmakers are still looking for extras and crew for the movie “Artists Die Best in Black” that begins shooting on Monday.
Casting is looking for all types of extras, said publicist Elaine Stevens, but particularly those who can play art patrons — “well-dressed, well-groomed high-society types.”
Interested locals should submit a headshot by the end of Thursday via email to extras.adbib@gmail.com or in person at ADBIB headquarters at 773 Jackson Street, Biloxi, just across from the Redding House.
Extras should be 18 or older and Mississippi residents. Applicant’s name, phone number and email address must accompany headshot. Extras are paid $58 to $100 a day depending on hours worked.
ADBIB Senior Producer Billy Badalato also will hold a free class on Friday for those interested in grip, lighting, camera or sound work. The Filmmaking Boot Camp will take place from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center 1600 Government St. in Ocean Springs. Call 818-2878 for more information.
